Growing up in Persian culture, I was surrounded by beauty rituals rooted in balance, not correction. Natural remedies, fermented preparations, a deep respect for the body’s ability to restore itself. Beauty was never about doing more. It was about doing what made sense for your skin.
That instinct stayed with me through 15 years of professional microbial formulation, helping industries trust living microbes to do things no chemical could. My work touched millions of acres of crops and animal health systems worldwide. In every one of those environments, I learned the same lesson: microbes are not tools to overpower a problem. They are partners. When you support them instead of disrupting them, they do the quiet work of stabilizing, protecting, and strengthening the system they live in.
Like many people, I still struggled with my own skin through those years. Breakouts, sensitivity, products that promised results and delivered frustration. Even as a scientist, I felt the disconnect between what skincare claimed and how skin actually behaves.
Then my children’s skin broke out.
I stood in a pharmacy aisle holding the same harsh cleansers I had watched fail people for years. I thought: I know better than this. I have spent 15 years making microbes work in some of the harshest environments on earth. These formulas would never survive a peer review.
So I built something that would. I tested it on my own family first. It worked.
That is why Fafabiotic exists. Not a marketing idea. A scientist’s answer to her own family’s problem.
