Dr. Farzaneh Rezaei, founder and CEO of FafaBiotic is an inspirational and visionary leader with 15+ years’ experience in the Biotech area directing companies in getting to scale-able bioformulation at various stages of biological product development and R&D from microbial physiology through application and process scale-up and transfer to biomanufacturing.
With extensive knowledge and background and, a great passion for making a difference in people's lives, shaping the future of Biotech companies, and having a positive impact on the world, she started FafaBiotic to use her knowledge and skills in making stable biological products and creating functioning teams to help the launch of the new generation of probiotics which will be the outcome of advances in gut and skin microbiome.
Ms. Farkhondeh Rezaei is an experienced Senior Graphic Designer & head of the Design department with a demonstrated history of working in the food & beverages industry. Skilled in Logo Design, Branding & Identity, Advertising, Typography, and Offset Printing.
Farkhondeh is FafaBioitc's advisor in art and graphic design and has created FafaBiotic's logo art as well as art design for FafaBiotic's products.
Dr. Joe Rollin is FafaBiotic's Business Development advisor, assisting the company in finding new business opportunities as well as partnerships.
After earning his BS in chemical engineering at Notre Dame and four years in the US Army as a combat engineer officer, Joe got his PhD in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. During his graduate work, he cofounded two companies: Gate Fuels Inc., which focused on making various fuels and chemicals from cellulosic biomass, and Cell-free Bioinnovations Inc. (CFB), which leveraged enzyme-based systems for producing hydrogen, electricity, and ingredients.
Dr. Rollin spent a few years at the US Department of Energy following up US National Renewable Energy Laboratory helping focus on various aspects of the Biotechnology area. In late 2019, he joined DMC Biotechnologies as Director of Business Development. Since that time Joe supported DMC in closing two funding rounds, an $11M series A and a $39M series B.
Dr. Scott A. Smith is FafaBiotic's Dermatology advisor.
Dr. Scott A. Smith is Board Certified in Dermatology with the Added Qualification of Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dr. Smith is a Clinical Assistant Professor for Washington State University Medical School as well as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Washington School of Medicine. He enjoys teaching and frequently has family practice residents, nurse practitioner students, or medical students rotating with him at his office.
Dr. Smith is currently a member of numerous medical societies including the American Academy of Dermatology.
