Key quality measurements:
1-We select
a) 1 carefully chosen probiotic strain per product:
our selection criteria:
- a) Probiotics have to be considered safe by the FDA (GRAS).
- b) there has to be published data about the characteristics and benefits of the strain
- c) we prefer if the strain is commonly used in food or beverage
b) simple, as natural as possible ingredients for lotion
2- We measure:
a) viability of the probiotic in the dry formulation in the package (stability)
b) viability of the probiotic after mixed with the bloom media
c) stability of the lotion both in real-time and accelerated conditions (40C)
3- We collect and monitor:
a) Purity and quality of the probiotic at the time of manufacturing.
b) Purity and quality of the lotion at the time of manufacturing.
c) Customer experience and data with each product.
4- We test:
a) Lotion safety substantiation: Repeated Insult patch test on at least 50 people
b) Preservative efficacy testing for the lotion
c) Toxicology review as another level of safety for our products.
