Greetings, Skin Microbiome Enthusiast!
First, I want to give a shout-out to my marketing and communications assistant, ChatGPT, for helping me refine this post!
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re curious about skincare that actually works with your skin — and maybe curious about what it’s like to build a brand around that idea.
When people think of a skincare founder, or in general an entrepreneur, they often picture someone sitting in a sleek office, surrounded by gorgeous products, a team running things, and a glowing Instagram feed. But let me give you the real, raw version of what it’s like to be in the early stages of building a skincare brand — because that’s exactly where I am right now with Fafabiotic.
I’m not just making products. I’m hustling every day to introduce people to a new way of thinking about skincare — microbiome and probiotic skincare that’s alive and actually effective. And as an early-stage entrepreneur, my days are laser-focused on finding and connecting with people who need what I’ve built.
Now, let me be upfront: I’m not a robot. The timing of these activities shifts. What I plan to do in the morning might completely change by the afternoon. But here’s a general flow of activities that make up my typical day as a skincare founder and entrepreneur.
6:00 AM — Quiet Time & Customer Outreach Goals
I start my day early before the rest of the house wakes up — because once life starts, it’s non-stop.
Before I check social media or email, I write out my daily goal for how many people I want to reach out to — whether that’s via DMs, email, calls, or groups where I know people are struggling with skin issues we can help solve.
7:00 AM — Mom Life & Morning Rush
Next up: Mom mode! Breakfast, lunch boxes, getting kids out the door. This part of my day keeps me grounded because my family is my “why.”
9:00 AM — Customer Outreach & Follow-ups
Once I’m back at my desk, the real hustle begins. I spend the next few hours:
✅ Reaching out to potential customers
✅ Following up on conversations
✅ Answering DMs and skincare questions
Right now, my #1 job is to educate people on what alive skincare is and how it can help them.
12:00 PM — Quick Lunch & Refocus
Lunch is usually quick — and I use this time to reflect on what’s working in my outreach and messaging.
1:00 PM — Marketing & Content Creation
Afternoons are for content creation to reach more people:
🎥 Filming Reels or videos
📝 Writing posts and blogs (like this!)
💬 Sharing skin success stories
3:00 PM — Product Care & Operations
Because Fafabiotic is alive skincare, I check on product batches and inventory, making sure everything is handled to keep the probiotics active and effective.
5:00 PM — Family Time
Late afternoon is family time — school pick-up, dinner, and activities. I try to be present, even if I’m still mentally working through my to-do list.
9:00 PM — Final Outreach & Reflection
Once the house is quiet, I get back to finish any outreach I didn’t complete earlier.
I also reflect on what worked and what needs adjusting — because tomorrow’s outreach needs to be even better.
💬 Final Thoughts
Right now, my focus isn’t on counting sales — it’s on counting conversations. Every conversation is an opportunity to educate, connect, and help someone transform their skin.
If you’re in the early stages of building something — whether it’s a brand, business, or big dream — remember, showing up consistently (even imperfectly) is what builds momentum.
No one sees all the behind-the-scenes hustle, but that’s where real growth happens — in the daily effort, in the conversations, and in the connections.
